Nicholas and Victoria competed at the Sooner State Judo competition this past weekend.  This first picture is my fav. cuz it shows Nicholas being supported by his "teammates" Deanna, Stanzy, Zach, and Sensei Andy met Nicholas when he come off the matt from his first match.  Encouraged him and coached him.  Sensei sets such a positive environment for us all!

Melissa's Locks

I got my hair cut!  Obviously right?!  I was inspired by Eileen who recently donated her hair to Locks of Love...  Oh and Scott shaved his head during a school assembly to raise money for a cause too.  I decided to just cut off 10 inches rather than shave my head.  Good choice?

So it turns out our friend Scott Boyd is crazy but not a serial killer.  :-)  We have not heard from Scott for 16 years.  He is a friend from college and we had lost track of each other soon after marriage.  Facebook can be a wonderful tool eh!?  After a short "hey how ya doin' " period I dared Scott to get himself and his kids in the car and visit us from Erie, PA.  With very little hesitation he did just that.  CRAZY!  16 years and we all picked right up where we left off.  We had a wonderful visit and can not wait to get back together soon.  Leah, Scott's eldest, is a beautiful young women.  Aaron and Nicholas became fast buds, and Natalie and Tori fed off each other's dynamic personalities.  Scott is in the process of driving back home... 24 hours of driving and I am sure he is cursing us as I type.  To quote him "Try something once.  If it's fun do it again.  I'll be flying next time I visit you."
Fort Sill Museum.

Riverside Cafe, Medicine Park OK sharing spoon talents and feeding the ducks while the parents enjoyed the beautiful day.

Scott was playing with his camera and figured out how to take black and whites. Love these shots!

H
ere we are at Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge. We saw Elk, Bison (and their droppings!), Long Horn, and our children in the natural environment. The open prairies, lakes, and mountains were surprisingly breathtaking actually. It takes someone to visit to get us to see our own backyard!
