We headed to downtown Oklahoma City this past weekend.  Bricktown is a great place to walk around.  The canal was so nice to walk along and the whole area was decked out for Christmas. 

We also hit the Crystal Bridge with what seemed like the rest of the people visiting OKC that day!

After a nice walk we decided to stop at The Melting Pot for some awesome Chocolate Fondue.  Worth every calorie!!!

Christmas Morning 2008

 My first attempt at downloading a video!,  And I can't think of a better moment to share with you.  This is my Christmas gift from my family.  Each using their talents.  Enjoy and Merry Christmas from our home to yours!

Midnight Mass

Tori also sang for Midnight Mass at Blessed Sacrament and stole the show yet again with her little dances to the songs.  Chuckles rang out from the pews for her adorable actions.  Nicholas was embarrassed and I could not decide if I should be embarrassed or proud... but Tori was being appropriate and enjoyed the attention.

Tori joined her choir in singing to the residents of Willow Park Nursing Home.  She did such a beautiful job interacting with the residents.  I was so proud of her kind heart.  Ms. Rose thoroughly enjoyed the children, reaching out to them with joy.  Tori reached out both her hands to Ms. Rose and danced for her while singing to her with a huge smile on her face.  Tori definitely made Ms. Rose's day.

Nicholas also performed beautifully at the mall... Up on the Housetop!

Tori enjoyed performing in the mall court with her school choir.  She added her own dance to the songs even.  You surprised?!  She stole the show as is her norm.  Ei your dress received a number of compliments!

The Rob's helped us out this past week by pinch hitting for the Savages covering our childcare needs while attending the PCC/CTS.  Thank you Rob Clan!!!!

Saint Nicholas found the kids at Hoge Barracks and left a couple of gifts in the shoes they left out for him!

We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Eric made us a beautiful feast and the kids and I devoured his fine work.

Nicholas and Tori had a great time having water fights with the neighborhood kids.  For some reason that did not bring back memories of Thanksgiving celebrations from our childhood but whatever!

After Nicholas' performance we popped in to Tamara's new home to see how Eric can help with hooking up her washer/dryer... a task he has perfected after many moves.  She was kind enough to get this family shot.... may just be our x-mas card shot this year!  

Fall 2008 Piano Recital

Nicholas performed at the Fall Recital for the Academy of Music at Cameron University.  He played a beautiful rendition of London Bridges.  The Hang Dude picture was taken after the recital was over... he bowed like a prince during.

Tori decided she was going to dress up one afternoon.  She has titled this shot "Fancy Nancy!"  See Marmie... Your Fancy Nancy books are being absorbed!  

Nicholas' Soccer Season is over

Nicholas' Soccer photos for the season.  His team was The Saint's.  Named after his school.  Nicholas' favorite things about soccer:  "How to have fun doing scrimmage,  playing against other teams, learning how to do a crossover". Nicholas usually played defense, was known for his "boot!," and during one game screamed out to the coach from the field... "Coach!!!  I have too much energy!  Put me forward!!"  

Nicholas' 9th birthday party

Nicholas had a beautiful day for his birthday party.. we had a high of 86 degrees!  He had fun educating his friends on all things bionicles, had "upside down angel cake with strawberries" and a quick pinata.

Double Header!

Nicholas is enjoying soccer... was MVP last week!  Today is a double header so he will be burning off all that halloween candy!!!

Nicholas' Birthday!  We are having a party for him on Sunday but he got to open his family b-day gifts and cards after Judo. 

There is something odd about my son... well, I won't go into every detail :-) but he does not like icing.  Asked for cookie dough instead of a cake.

Look back at his last birthday.. see that expression on his face?  that's 'cuz Mom put icing on his cake. The nerve of his Mommy!  Dad made him very happy by sticking candles in cubes of cookie dough.  Come back to see pic's of his b-day party soon!
